Squirrels, Nuts and PSPs

I sold my PS2, along with all of my games over a month ago. I am now, for the first time in over a decade, without a game console. It feels pretty good. Except for maybe when baby goes away for the weekend with her sisters and leaves me to my own devices for a few days. Especially now that its too cold to bike.

Video games are a great source of entertainment. Don’t get me wrong. But I have to confess that ther were many many nights when I played say, Resident Evil until 4am until I beat the game. Progressively though, sessions like this leave a soul such as myself feeling like I have eaten a few bags of doritos and a 3 liter bottle of Doctor Pepper. You know, gluttonous, self destructive. That kind of feeling.

In short, I am out. I have sworn off the video games.

Meanwhile, whoever is doing the marketing for PSP seems to be dead set on attracting squirrel loving folk such as myself back into the gaming fold.
