NYE.
I’m thinking that New Year’s Resolutions don’t count if you don’t think them up in the old year so…in no particular order:
- Be an awesome dad: always have at least one project to be doing with the Woog. We start baby swim classes next weekend.
- Suprise my wife. In good ways.
- Have at least one home improvement project going on all the time.
- Get a new home and move the family to it. If the sky doesn’t fall, sometime in late spring, early summer
- At least a 6 month ban on Soda, Beer, and sugary drinks. This should not be too hard. My sports injury appears to be aggravated by their consumption.
- Related: Lose the 20+ pounds I put back on this fall. Actually keep it off this time.
- Get involved with at least 1 OSS project. Maybe a WP plugin. Not sure.
- Be at better wrench. Learn how to better maintain my bike
- Do the West River Time Trial. Set a personal record. Current PR: 21:11. As long as those scores keep going down, that means I am not getting old.
- Do 2 late season Stage Races with Human Zoom. Help the 3/4s get some hardware.
Thats all I got.

On the roll again.
Back on the rollers yesterday. Starting off very slow with very short work out time. I’ve been having some problems that have kept me from training.
You may or may not know, being on the rollers can be boring. I have no TV down in the basement currently, so I am stuck with my old stereo and my ipod.
Half way through the session, Minuet in G Major comes on. (It can’t all be Fugazi.) It took me back to the best parts of racing last year: Lancaster farm country, the smells, the little packs of beautiful Amish kids, the peloton, the hills, the speed, etc.
The spell was broken shortly thereafter when some track from the Mission of Burma comp I put on there came on. Then I was back in the basement. Staring at the wall. A little cold.
